I use a good amount of thread sealer and bolts. Never had problems but I could see how studs would just be the more secure option.

As others have said, on 906 heads, they all go into the water jacket. Studs are best, but can be a royal pain trying to get headers on or off.

In the case of a RB block combined with full length headers you will not be able to remove the headers anyway without lifting the block of the mounts, so it's going to be a pain anyway
