BTW, if you guys are as old as me or older, help your surviving relatives/friends out by making a list and approximate value for all the parts you have lying around so they will have some idea where to start when deciding what to do with all your stuff.

I have just 4 engines and 4 transmissions left. I have a 5.0 and OD trans from a ford a 73 440 and trans a 5.7 hemi and trans. and a 400 magnum and trans. And in hopes of using 2 of them and having the others go away lol. 3 more cars and I think I will be done forever. Just no room my shop only holds 8 cars and both our trucks and daily driver cars sit outside. That and I am getting too old.

A '66 440, that did not clean up at 0.030" over, so going to sonic check it.
The modified 360 / 727 from my '84 RamCharger that I rolled.
A couple 727s , I know one was behind the 440 in the Coronet hardtop but it only worked in reverse. Haven't opened it up yet.
A "new" never used Mopar Performance 518 non-lockup transmission that I bought about 25 years ago and haven't got around to swapping.
The original 383 from the '71 Charger.
The 2008 6.1L Hemi and NAG transmission take-out planned to go into the '69 Coronet Hardtop.
Several sets of extra heads and such.

Great post! I've been working to reduce my "inventory" last few years. I used 3 of my 727 BB cases & internals to build "race" 727's for customers. Down to 1 BB & 1 SB 727 cases + many internals. Will build & sell soon. 2 400 blocks (my former race blocks), 1 '70 440 block, also 440 in pieces (former spare race motor) ready to be freshened, 4-5 sets 906 heads stock or former race, 1 set 915 stock, 3 440 steel cranks on hanger. During '80's I collected 440 stuff & 400's for spares when I was hard bracket racing & using up parts. My excessive RPM & extreme porting was very hard on cranks & heads so I got lots of spares.

I had maybe half a dozen 2.2 engines, both turbo and NA, and finally got tired of them being in the way. I found a guy who was just getting into those cars as I was getting out of them and gave him the whole lot. I gave a good running Jeep 2.5 to a guy who was helping out his neighbor by replacing the blown engine in the daughter's Wrangler. I gave a spare BB 727 to a friend for a project he was working on. All I kept was the original 383 and 727 out of my '71 Charger.

1 complete 383 and 727 out of a 67 Satellite. Ran and drove when I pulled them 20-25 yrs ago. Been sitting in the corner of the garage ever since.

It might end up in my 67 Belv. Convertible some day and then I'll have a 318/727 combo in the corner.

I don't have the room to hoard them :poke:

I only have 1

I won't put my neighbors thru
having to deal with looking at a bunch of stuff lying around either
if it doesn't fit in the garage or shed it's gone, given away/or sold

I do have a shed full of my take offs
& under my bench is full of parts "yet" to be installed
or parts that came with my car, I don't want in the shed

I guess I am out of place here. I only have 1-383 & 1- BB 727 extra.
Not out of place, it all depends on your need, cash flow, storage capacity. If you have no need, why bother. If you don't have the cash flow, why strain. I you don't have storage capacity, you're screwed anyway. No need, no real reason.
