What part of Massachusetts do you live in? I lived in Taunton when hurricane Donna came through. We were packed and ready to leave for Texas but ended up having to wait for it to pass. I remember a lot of trees being down along the roads when we were finally able to leave. Btw, except for Florida, this hurricane took the same path as Donna did....

I'm about 15 minutes east of Worcester. We lost power They're saying it won't be back till middle of the week, a lot of surrounding towns lost it too...good thing work has power...lol

39 hrs. without power, 7" of rain, and lost 2 oaks. Good to be back.

The weather this summer has been a real treat for a lot of folks, sure hope winter wont follow suit!

Well we survived the storm and were spared the storm surge and high tides. We had high winds of 45 sustained and strong gusts along w/ 6+ inches of rain. Lost power Sat. around 8PM and haven't gotten any yet. Still 200,000 w/o power in the area.Working off a portable generator now. Not complaining, lots of homes damaged w/ falling trees.Got all the cars back home and just about done cleaning up the yard.Good Luck to everyone else hit by Irene, just glad we didn't get it any worse than we did!

just got power back here since saturday night. power lines down everywhere and telephone poles snapped like twigs everywhere.just got internet back also finally.
