That sending unit will need to come off and a pipe plug put in its place
The Computer uses one of those oil pressure senders for its info to turn on the check engine light. If you install a oil pressure gauge, you will need to install a sender for it.

True, but there is already 1 on the block along with some other sender in the front....that one could be reading oil temp.

I don't recall for sure but I think the computer uses all of the existing sensors. It's been about 4 years since I dealt with mine but I do remember needing to use one of the oil sender plugs to add a sender for my gauge. Plus drill and tap the hole for the water temp sender for my gauge. Yours may be different. Plus maybe the 5.7 is configured a little different than the 6.1 too. Anyway, I'm sure you will get it handled.

Shouldn’t be at all difficult.

Manifold is just sitting there for a photo op and the catch can not hooked up and also waiting on a breather for the oil fill nipple.

****, good thing breathing is automatic or I’d die! Forgot to include the pics of BeCool radiator. It’s not specifically for a Gen 3 swap, but it’ll work well with 2 rows of 1.250 tubes!

Lookin' Good. Do you have a fan or fans and shroud picked out yet? You mentioned a breather for the oil fill nipple. What is that for?

Since the Gen 3’s don’t have a breather, you put a small breather on the nipple sticking out from the oil fill, now you have breather.

Probably going to run Derale PWM dual fan set up, they work really well and don’t hit the alternator with a spike like a regular fan set up does with relays.

That’s cool! I’m just trying to clean up the engine, make it look appealing.

Cut out the headers and removed the radiator. Most of the engine wiring is undone, should be pulling it out in the next couple days.

The owner brought his rim/tires down and the fronts fit really well. The rear, well, gotta roll the lip.

Rear tires a tad too close to the lip and I’m sure rolling them will not give the room that is needed. Soooo, looks like it’s time to narrow the rear 5/8-3/4” and that would leave 1/2” to the leaf spring if I need to go a full 3/4”. Also the axle studs are too short for the rims, only have about 1/4” sticking through so longer studs are needed.

Dropped the engine in for test fitting and radiator location. This thing went in and fits absolutely perfect! Mocked up the TTI headers, had to elongate 1 hole, but they did finally fit.

Set the intake on to check for the air tube routing. Waiting on the 2 speed fan fan before I finalize anything.

The rim/tires for the rear fit, but it’s tight on the drivers side so some trimming is necessary. Also getting XHD leaf springs and new shocks all around along with a front sway bar.
