No, you won't. June 27th marked 20 years since I lost my dad to cancer (he was 67).

Thanks for sharing, Nick - neat stuff!

You never get over losing a parent. And if they were your best friend too, it's even harder...

My parents got divorced when I was 4 and my mom was 100% gone out of the picture ...my dad was my dad but when I got older he was my best friend ......

my dad was 49 when he died. it will be 26 years this august. he died in my arms
you will never get over it, nor will you accept it but as long as you continue to love him you will learn to live with it.
I talk to my Dad every day and I swear at times he answers me, I can hear his voice n my head.
it is obvious that you and your dad had a special bond so you will never be alone.
thanks for sharing this, brought a smile to my face, nice to know that i am not alone and that others share the same sentiments and values that I do.
peace

Some very nice memorabilia from a time your father was working as a Chrysler mechanic! I know you must be proud and cherish those memories. Congrats !!

Cool story. I still have my "badge", from the late 70's. GOD, I hated working there....so I only did for a few years.
