New rebuilt 727 leaking near filler tube

So I have a newly rebuilt 727 and I put in a new O-ring with the dipstick tube. The top of the dipstick was hitting the valve cover so I gave it a little tweak. Would this cause the O-ring to leak? Is there a slightly larger O-ring to compensate for wear?

You may have bent the tube at the o-ring groove. Pull the tube to inspect and correct if bent. Then adjust the top end to clear the valve cover. Reinstall with a little silicone for insurance.
