I would just use whatever I find in my garage. If it's not a flat tappet cam engine that needs zinc, you can use anything that is the right weight for your internal clearances, and weather.

I would use syn oil for max protection; the rod brg speed is higher with strokers, which generates more heat & syn oil has a higher working temp.
