Drove the snot out of it.. out to get groceries. Highway cruising it has a bit of a miss/popping stumble at ONLY 3200 RPM. 3100 smooth, 3300 up to 7000!! SMOOTH. Guess that big open chamber intake manifold just doesn't like 3200 at 60 MPH. Guy I bought it from had the vacuum advance plugged off, I hooked it back up this morning and it runs better IMHO than it did corked.

A good possibility is that it could be a lean miss. Try to richen it up just a bit and see if it goes away.

Took the Bird out of it's Winter nest and brought Queen Bee down from her hive. Both started on the second crank!! Amazing considering a lot of older cars need coaxing after even a few days of not being driven.

Time to unstack the Bee and the Bird and see just how filthy they are after restoring the Dart in the shop.

Gotta remember not to throw the door all the way up into the Bee windshield!

31 years and have always been amazed how well this car starts, even if it sits for years untouched.

It's alive, but sick. Lost a lot of transmission fluid over the Winter and barely moving. Work I've already planned for with new pan and all the gaskets and O rings.

Come'n down...

We'll see if the Bee starts.

Choke, two taps of the pedal and fired on the second short crank

I haven't touched her with water since restoration, but just tooooo dirty to try and dry cloth her.

What's not to love.

Nothing like a nice pair of hood scoops..

Reminds me of a song "...let me tell ya bout the "Birds" & the "Bees"..." song needs Mopar updating though. THEY ALL LOOK GREAT @dadsbee !!!

I'm curious about the Crane Rockers, since I have pedestal blocks on my heads

Got the engine painted.
By the way, Duplicolor engine paint sucks!
DE1619 Chrysler Green, 1st can went on kind of blotchy, switch ing from too blue to kinda the right color.
2nd coat and can, stated spitting light chunks, then would spray really light.
And yes I shook them up.

Washed it for the first time this year.

I figure since I replaced the headgasket last week, I could at least get the storage dirt off of it.

Yeah. I know. It's goofy. But I like my turbo stuff! And for a 31 year old minivan...it looks damn good!

Real quick comment.
I just read about the CNC'd aluminum rockers from Hughes, available with a cryogenic treatment (they suggest for over 600# springs). IF what they say is true, well, they are going on my 541 when it's being built, unless my builder has some beef with them.

Hughes look like a nice product. I think T n D and Jesel are top of the line.
But you have to know which head you are using.

My lift and the rolling jack got a workout yesterday. I needed to replace the rear trans seal on the nv5600 in my truck, 04.5 3500 Cummins dually. Pretty straight forward switch. It took longer to clean off some of the slung/dripped oil and sand off prior to disassembly. I have some of the non California approved Mopar Super Clean which was for road tar and other stuff. Did a great job of breaking down the buildup. I've been needing to do this for awhile but the truck had to wait until I put the lift back together and did some maintenance on my honey's Flex. All good now.

Finally got a chance to post pictures from Sunday and she sounds very nice. No vacuum leaks or anything else. My plan is to order the Aeromotive efi tank this week and then the Sniper efi.

I did nothing BUT the drive shaft is on the way from silver Sport!

Rallyes are awesome.

Almost the look of an alloy wheel (especially if used with polished trim rings), but not anywhere near the maintenance.
