What did you do to your Mopar today?

Took her out in the sunshine to stretch her legs. Beautiful day.

Started replacing my 2.5" exhaust with 3". Got a kit from Jegs and 2 Ultra Flow mufflers. Had to make the driver side shorter to get it through the trans cross brace. I'll finish fitting it tomorrow and get it welded up including a crossover pipe and o2 bung.

Is it possible to take a pic of a 2.5" vs. 3" pipe, end section for comparison?
It's rather remarkable, more than most folks think it is....

Oh, and be prepared for some increased interior temperatures with the 3"!

You ask and you shall receive. :)

So area of a 3" circle is 7.07 sq/in. Area of a 2.5" circle is 4.91 sq/in. Volume of a 3" tube 8' long is 678.58 sq/in. Volume of a 2.5" tube 8' is 471.24 sq/in.

And the modifications to the Jegs B body kit are endless. The over axle pipe needs cut and a harder bend put in. Old 2.5" pipe below for reference. It's what I'm basing my modifications on.

Thanks! Yep, that's my point - that little ol' half inch in diameter gives like 50% more flow/volume,
which impresses me!

Finished it up today. I think I have a piece touching the trans crossmember. Of course it was fine until I welded it up. I'll deal with it tomorrow.

Finished the front disc brake conversion and got the wheels back on.

I also have the jegs 3" complete set. I love the sound !
Funny story. 2015ish I was working on my 62 Belvedere so I ordered the complete 2.5" kit from Jegs, including the mufflers. The car sounded great despite a drone from 2000 to 2200 rpms.

One day I had it parked in the garage and went to start it like normal. BOOM!!!#@$% Like a bomb went off. Garage was filled with smoke and my ears were ringing. I was a bit confused as I sat at the wheel when I saw the shadow of my neighbor through the haze say, " Is anyone alive in here?" Hahaha. Yes, I was. Found out one of those mufflers blew up. Tore it apart right at the folded seam. Ever since then, I have bought Ultra Flo welded. Fixed the drone lol.

Brought 'em both out for some sun...

Took the wagon for a spin and it's grumpy. Trans is acting up, flaring shifts, erratic upshift points...it's mad I've made it sit for 15 years.

So I took the Charger out and worked on my bug collection.
