When I had my knee replacement, I paid a shop to put my bumpers on . I have been doing them over, myself , to make them right.
I just hate it when I pay a professional to do a job, and then I have to correct their work. Maybe I am to dam pickey, cause this happens alot ! ........................MO

Day ....ah ah of the re wire. I forget what number day it is. Been so many
Long project re wiring the entire car but I'm sure it will be worth it.
Have the new fuse panel in under the dash.. Along withe the msd box that was under the hood. Cleaning engine bay a bit. I did end up pulling the heater box as the motor wasn't working and upon further inspection many screws were missing too. I figured I'd pull it, fix it up and put it back someday if I needed. But it was not going to work the way it was and I didn't want to spend that much time on it. I was hoping to have things done by this weekend but just missed.
Also, started with the sound deadening throughout. That should help out a ton. I stopped in the front for now as I'll need to crawl in to run the wires and I figured I might mess it up so, when I'm done wiring, I'll finish it..
Oh almost forgot, while I took the battery and tray out to be able to run wires and vacuum lines I noticed the power steering box was really bad. There was a bolt that was holding the column to the unit that didn't fit and as the wheel was turned that gear was moving left and right and in and out way too much. I know they're sloppy when not running too but it was very loose. So, firm feel stage ll on the way! It's only money right? I hope the wife doesn't find out!

Finish unscrewing my screw up on front suspension. After loosening LCR shaft and jacking it to mid-travel and tightening shaft the torsion adjusters were loose, which was good. The way I had it the bushing wasn't allowing suspension to move down.
It would've had to turn the rubber bushing.
P.S. Went to move halogen missed grab bar cooked 2 fingers. Lucky a bucket of water in reach to dunk my fingers in it.
There is a burn cream for burns it's called Water-Jel if you get it on in a minute or so burns aren't as if you don't use it. Seen it work, guys in the casting shop at work used it. Amazon sells it.

Got the whole top cleared of all 7-9 layers of primer and paint . . . down to the bare metal . . .

today I finally got up the nerve to start on the US car tool frame ties and boxs, all went really well and got the first side in, lucked out on the under coating, what wasn't soaked in oil after 53 years was drying up and peeling off by itself, very little really stuck bad, 15-20 sec. with the heat gun and it's as soft as butter. the little miller didn't like the overhead welds but got thru it anyway, couple of cans of under coating and it will be a good looking weld. ran out of gas so I'll wait until mon. and get another bottle and start on the pass side. I'm ahead of where I thought I would be at this time so it's good. Dave.

Been a couple weeks since I checked the oil in Brutus. Dipstick pulled out rather hard and would not go back in. Evidently the tube got bent when the motor mount was replaced at a mechanic's shop. Took the tube out to see what the problem was, tried to straighten it and the end that goes into the block, cracked. I have tried to find a stock tube. All that I find are chrome--uuhg..don't want chrome. ................MO

Took the old girl out in the winter sunshine to catch up with an older sister!
got the old cast iron intake off .... found the leak in the top rams ... need a ram
What are rams?

Got the Wizard Radiator all plumbed, electrically connected, filled, and interfaced with the MSD Atomic EFI.
Fired it up and the system kicked on Fan1 at the prescribed temp. The fan sounded like ****; sounds internal to the fan cause the blade is obstruction free. Fan2 sounds great though
For $1000+ I guess I should have bench tested both fans outside of car.
This Wizard came with Maradyne Champion series fans by the way. I hope they can send me a new fan. Fit and finish was nice.

***Update: Found problem. Fan was rubbing against a screw. Doesn't appear to have messed with fan balance. Pulled fan shroud off and had to add some washers all around. Thanks Wizard Q.C.***

Got my car back from the shop on Friday. Took it out for a drive & boy did it feel good to have it back after a month and 1/2 in the shop.
Over the weekend
1. Installed my new hood mounted turn signals.
2. Removed old kill switch wiring.
3. Removed old non-working speakers and old wiring & made a temporary patch with cardboard, duct tape, hot glue & some black shoe polish.
4. Replaced old windshield washer tubing and cleaned up the nozzles.
