We all love the older stuff but the change from 1970 to 1971 marks a big change in my opinion of Mopars. Even though I like '71 Chargers and Super Bees I'd have to say the '71 GTX is my fav. Post-2000 doesn't count. No 170 Demons.

The 72ish Chargers with hidden head lights are starting to grow on me, even though back in the day you couldn't have paid me to own one.

The 71 models were the best, since they still had the horsepower, and they were much better cars all around than the predecessors. Although the power decreased afterwards, the 71-74 cars were improvements with styling the subjective matter. The King liked his early 70's Chargers better, as well with the improved aerodynamics.

I miss my 71 R/T and my 71 R.R. Yes, some days I think RR other days I think R/T.

I like the '71 Challengers better than the 70's although the changes were minimal. The '71 R/T Challenger stripe is much cooler than the '70.

I thought 69-70 B bodies were getting too expensive 40 years ago and got rid of most of them in favor of 3rd Gen Chargers.
My fav is the 73 Charger. It doesn't matter to me that HP dropped or that the suspension has rubber isolators.... because I don't do stock restored cars. I just love the swoopy body lines.

Sorry Steve... I Disagree.... I've owned both... Mostly I've owned 70's cause they are the best... But I did own a 71 Hemi Challenger R/T.... 70 Challenger & 70 Cuda Stripes rule....

71 Charger R/T would be the one... IMO the 71 Plymouth lines aren't even close to as good as a 71 Dodge...

One of these two.
(I'm serious. A bodies are so versatile.)
