The 440 engine callouts/emblems arrived today. I have no idea how to install them. I would appreciate instructions with measurements. They're going on my 1969 Coronet RT Ramcharger reproduction hood scoops.

Thanks FBBO

Easy for you to say. But I don't know what size bit to use and where the holes go.

Is it painted? I wish I had a scoop to measure for you but I do not...

here's a couple of photos of the locations,
not sure it will help for an exact location but you can get them close...

I thought I had the exact dimensions, but I cant find it,
I think I got it off MyMopar.com or AllPar.com maybe

good luck
sorry I couldn't help more

Yes. Unfortunately, I did not have the emblems before they were painted as there was a 6 month backorder issue.
I took pics and measurements from the backside since yours are painted.

Drill the right size holes in the proper locations, insert emblem & attach with speed nuts.
Piece-o-cake.

These came with white plastic 'nuts' that I assume stay on the pins and fit tightly in the hole. So, I assume I drill the holes and just push the emblem on.

I looked at photos on Google but found some emblems were centered up and down and some were lower like the one on the orange Coronet above.

I would rather use speed nuts....The thought of popping those on gives me chills....

I called Jegs and Mopar Performance and they had no installation instructions and both said the white plastic on the studs "probably" comes off and the emblems are installed like the original ones from the factory with speed nuts. The MP guy said the only thing in his data base said these were manufactured to the original specifications using the same materials as the factory emblems.

I may have to heat these a bit in order to slide the plastic off the studs.

I have an original used pair that are nice....I think I have the speed nuts for them. I can check tonight if you like....and send those back if you want and use mine...

The front pin is about an inch up from the bottom edge. The pin toward the rear is about 7/8" from the bottom. Dont do them the same or your badge will be crooked.

The first stud is about 2 3/4" back fromt the front edge of the scoop (not the bezel). I dont know what the next hole is for (hemi emblem maybe??). Measure the distance between the pins on your 440 emblem to make sure of the rear hole (all of mine have the 383 emblem). They should be the same. Draw your layout in pencil on the inside of the scoop and post a pic before drilling so we can double check it for you.
