What did you do to your Mopar today?

Adjusted the rockers, set the distributor air gap, new Autolite plugs, new Mallory distributor cap and rotor. Took it for an awesome test drive.

Test fitted the quarter panel.

Confession: I rarely wash my car. Like 6 times in 6 years. I do clean individual parts e.g windshield, bumper bars etc but not often the whole lot at the same time. I don't drive it in the rain and cars don't really get dirty here, just a thin layer of dust.
Well today I not only washed the whole car but also cleaned and polished up the wheels and then did a clay bar over the paintwork. Wow, what a difference! Nearly ready for my first show next month.

Love your car! That is one of my all time favorite body styles. It just has everything "right" and has those classic Mopar lines.

Gold and bronze look GREAT on 66/67 body cars.

...and it hides dirt pretty well.

Still looks amazing when clean, though.

got the hood striped for the road runner some small dents and dings no rust

Today was resurrection day.
Changed oil & filter
Changed coolant
Lubed chassis
Packed wheel bearings

I think tomorrow I'll prime the carb, light 'er up and take out to stretch her wings after a long winters nap.

Replaced the original timing chain on my 88,000 mile 64 Belvedere with 318 engine. Then took it for a short drive for ice cream.

Changed my 2 gauge set-up ( Temp & Oil Pressure) to a 3 gauge. I've added a Voltmeter ready for the ammeter bypass.

Well, I changed out the 3+ year old Optima Red Top battery in my wife's GTO (Mopar activity is related, so...) and I was going to get a Duracell AGM to replace it, just because of price and availability. The Optima is about $210 and the Duracell about $140. The Sam's Club website "in stock/out of stock" indicator was doing weird stuff, and I wasn't driving 2 hours round trip on a hunch. I was wanting to go to a longer lasting AGM battery with similar CCA levels, and posts that would work with the cable connections I needed. I happened to have an Optima Blue Top Marine DUAL purpose battery, and it fit perfectly in the GTO battery tray, so I threw it on the charger and VIOLA! It worked out fine. I also went to Harbor Freight and got 2 of those negative battery terminal quick disconnect setups, one for the GTO and Roadrunner. Both cars have had Dakota Digital gauge systems and modules installed and now both have electronic circuitry that places a draw on the battery even when the key is off and out, so now no power drain when I twist the green knob on the disconnect. I think all of the various settings are flashed on the DD circuitry, so all that will have to be done is setting the clock in each of our DD dashes.
I just don't trust ANY battery charger to leave it hooked up all the time.
Anyway, I took the 421GOAT out for a short drive, cooling system temps were "ok" around 190-200° but with a 180° thermostat I definitely want to see cooler running temps.
Since the GOAT got to stretch her legs, I figured I'd let the Roadrunner out for a quick sprint too. Took it for about a 15-20 minute round trip ride on a long backroad I have by my house. Stopped just before I got home for two 1st/2nd gear WOT launch runs. It felt a bit weak on the first one but not so bad on the second. I'm going to install the quick disconnect on the Roadrunner tomorrow.

Had to take one step back and re-route the tail light wiring.

Havent been able to locate a nice original hood ornament for my car.

So i found and bought a 67 style. And i actually think i like it better anyway.

Looks KILLER btw and i like being able to read it on both sides

And the one i removed. Its NOS......Just....wrong. It has the exact same design on both sides
I figuered if its gonna be wrong either way. It might as well look good doing it.

Took the cluster out. Bridged the ammeter wires and replacing with a voltmeter.
Put a quartz conversion in the clock.
MSD tach adapter
Wired alternator directly to battery and put a new fuse box in the glove box.
Started work on a Pioneer slim subwoofer under the driver's seat

Took the car out for some errands and a nice blast in the cool air..

Then later I yanked the TTIs, they've seen better days so tomorrow they'll be going in for new CermaKrome inside & out. (It's also the first step in the head swap I've been gearing up for:))

I got down to where all that's left in the demo phase is to drain the radiator & block, and actually pull the old heads... and it was there that I called it a day.

Dropped the car at the auto electrician. Drive in, ride home. Then ride back later to collect it.
I now have a working alternator with a voltmeter, working dash lights, and a working gas gauge. Yippee!
