62 Belvedere 318 poly granny cruiser (one day i hope)

Condenser with radiator behind it. Having the 3 down low will help keep the radiator cooler since there is less stack up of units ahead of the main one.

Not shown in the one picture but I have holes cut in the lh radiator baffle that bulkhead fittings go into. Have some on the rh one too for the a/c stuff. Plus a 4 hole set in the rh apron for the heater/ac lines, also with a bulkhead unit.

I was thinking last night and i didn't really think bout bulkhead fittings before.. i was just going with a rubber gromet and try to bend/fish the lines in which i know will be a pain to make even semi nice. If i go bulkhead i can do the lines as 2 piece and make it much nicer and minimal rubber to the cooler (like 2" on each input), don't know why rubber bugs me so much since i used it forever in cars but now it does...

Trying to find the right fittings with flares on both sides for 5/16 line... i never deal with fittings so i will get the wrong stuff 2-3 times :)

k.. found 2 of these on ebay... need to get some flare nuts now. I think this will be a nicer setup if i don't do it badly.

Geezz.. ended up with $60 into 2 fittings and flare nuts.... all from ebay.. had to make 3 orders from the same place and got to pay 3xshipping at $7.50 each.. which is annoying.

I used some like what's in your picture.
Yeah, what i don't get is the ones they told me to get are flare nuts and collars that go in the flare nuts... the factory never needed collars, not sure what that's about.

oh.. my fault... i ordered 4 6 packs of nuts/collars.. i thought they were singles.. the place msg'd me :)

On both ends of those fittings, I'll be using AN stuff so it will work out fine.
yeah i don't know AN... i am learning a bit.. plus my lines are 5/16 which is AN-5 which seems to be an oddity. I did learn today that normal trans flare fittings are called JIC which makes it a lot easier to find them when searching :)

Guy at the place i ordered from is very nice.. took care of the issues.

There is a difference in the flare seat angle between AN and SAE or regular car stuff. AN is 37*, SAE and car stuff is 45*. Just need to match up the fittings. If you need to flare the lines, your flaring tool needs to match the fitting type too.

yeah, i have the normal double flaring tool for trans lines and stuff.. i know if i messed with AN i would just do it wrong :) The big flaring tool that mounts in the vice made stuff soo much easier

Ordered nickel/copper tubing to make my new lines on thursday from In-line which is 3 miles from me.... check tracking today "Delivered on friday" Umm.... noo.... emailed them and they are sending out another order..

My tubing and fittings finally showed up... first time i have used Nickel/Copper.... stuff is pretty, but i know it won't be for long...

Any idea where to get these fairly cheep? ones i have found are like $18-20 each which is crazy.. looking at a way to keep my trans lines together and uniform as possible.
