What's your claim to fame?

I own a Flag Store 20 miles south of Nashville in Franklin, TN. Flag World....www.flagworldamerica.com.
Been doing it for 16 years. Store was downtown Nashville on Broadway at one time but moved it after the flood of 2010.
I am going to be in the market for a new flag pole later this year. I've been buying poles from the big box stores for years and am tired of them wearing out where the sections slip together. I would like a better more permanent set up with proper lighting this time around.

Not much. My friends would call me "Buzz" because I let my sister cut my hair in middle school, and it was so bad my dad took me to a barber and they just buzzed my hair off and let it grow back out. I also partied alot, and did stupid stuff as a kid. Started working on cars when I was around 12. Started driving around 13, and had my first car at 14 ('67 Coronet.) Jumped and wrecked some cars playing Dukes of Hazard on back roads. I did get to race Darrel Alderman for a charity event in 1996. I think we raced new Dodge Trucks? Also met Scott Geoffrion at the same event.

I dated a girl who's last boyfriend before me was Marilyn Manson.
That was before they got any airplay circa 1990-91.

One of the smartest people I've ever known in my life.
She had a moderately built 1969 400 firebird and knew how to work on it.
Played the keyboards.
Did multiple perspective (at the same time) oil paintings
Had pet chickens, ferrets, snakes and in iguana
Ice skated/danced
etc, etc

Yeah I had to stop selling those a few years ago. They just don't last especially in high wind areas. I went with a high quality sectional (made in USA) that is night and day compared to what we offered. I'm very please with it. And we have always done the commercial one piece poles up to 80'. If you ever want a quote just email me from site above or PM.

I won a Harley once at a dealership concert. Sold it almost immediately as a down payment on the wife’s new car hahah

My goal in 1981 was to become an MD and finally make it on MTV with a band. Took many years of work. Moved to NYC to do music professionally in 1989 and came out of it 10 years later with my M.D.

Always played lead guitar and sung no matter what else I did; it was #1. I played lead guitar in Saving Jane. Our song "Girl Next Store" made it to the top 40, our video was on MTV Hits (the 2nd MTV channel), and we were played on Sirius Satellite radio channel 1 'Hits' in regular rotation. That wasn't until 2006. In 2009 toured 8 countries with a country band.

During my youth, Saving my drunk buddy Wally rolling down a hill onto a highway, while I was not-as-drunk.

Here is another one. Working as Border Patrol Agent and without a partner one day, (back in El Paso, circa 1985) I picked up 79 illegal aliens (one by one) during a 10 hour shift. Another day, picked up the same alien three times during the same 10 hour shift. The El Paso Station at that time picked up 1,000 - 1,200 persons per day with over 200 agents working. Just fun and games.

Not much,,, but I have shaken hands with Tim Conway, Sen. Inouye(Hawaii), John Unitas and pro bowler Johnny Petraglia.

Have never stopped selling the Confederate Flags. It's an honor to carry them in my store. Here's the latest I have just brought in. 10th Texas Cavalry. It has a great history and played a major role here in TN. "Strike for your alters and your homes".

In regards to Mopar flags....No on auto manufacturer flags. I used to carry them years ago when they were made of quality and made in US. Now the copyrights are so strict and expensive no one wants to manufacture them. The thin materials are readily available but those are imported and not sure if they follow copyright rules.
