It's an absolute privilege to share this board with you all!!!

Leanna,
Thanks for hosting this auction to help a fellow FBBO member out in a time of need. Glad I could help out in a small way. But It's members like you that make this a special place.

@CudaChick1968
Volunteering to do this on my behalf as proven to be quite the task for Leanna;
it's no doubt taken time away from her other obligations and her life in general,
thanks to the amazing support so many of you have shown!
"Gratitude" doesn't begin to cover it for me....:)
Some of you also know she's done this before for others in the past, too - so she's pretty well versed in what all it takes and how to do it, all additional blessings!

I just sit here in amazement, watching it all and trying to comprehend....
oh, and sometimes trying to solve the mystery of matching "real life" names with their FBBO identities. :)

Okey dokey boss, I’m ready for the details whenever they become available.

Dear Ed, I would like to share with you a little story.....

I too was the recipient of the generosity of the Mopar community when my daughter was sick a couple years back. A benefit auction was started over on FABO, and it was a very humbling experience for me and my family. The outpouring of love and support was overwhelming, and even to this day I feel very deeply about it. It wasn’t about the financial help that we received from the auction, it was the people, the friends, old and new, that shared their hearts, their prayers, and their support that carried us through that very hard time. Every single person in this little corner of our community has a heart as big as the world, and it touched our hearts and souls very deeply, and still does to this day. It was hard for me to take the gifts of money and donations, but very easy to receive the gifts of love, prayers, and support that we received during what was a very difficult time in Nellas life. The smallest gestures Meant so much to us, a message from someone with a prayer, just to say hi or that they were thinking about us meant the world to us, and I sincerely hope that your heart is full of that same feeling. People do care, and in this very crazy time in our world, that is the light that shines the brightest here. I’m glad to be able to help, even if just a little bit, to make a difference for you as the experience did for us! May there be peace in your heart, and joy in your soul. And my thanks go out to everybody here who helped to make a difference in Ed’s life. You all are a shining example of what being a friend is all about!

I'll go $175 on the Plymouth sign, if it hasn't been ended. Post #65

Okey dokey boss, I’m ready for the details whenever they become available.
Cosgig, 1st off thanks for bidding on the carb. I am back in des moines today as my wife didn't get released and is heading back into surgery.
If you will PM me your ship to address I will get your item shipped when i get back home. Thanks again.

I have another one to publicly embarrass!
I swear, each time it happens stuns me as much as the first....

Lookit, y'all got to understand something here (and I've probably already written this)
but when your whole life has pretty much been trying to go above and beyond what is
expected for those you think deserve such, only to have most all of them ignore you
when it's your turn to get in hot water.....well, it's just hard for my old noggin to understand
it when so many of YOU have chosen to come to our aid!
I mean, I've never even had the honor of meeting most of you, let alone do anything for -
yet you felt compelled to jump in here anyways while under absolutely no obligation to do so!

I get so worked up over it I go numb sometimes. It's honestly a bit overwhelming, especially
when nothing like that has ever happened to me - and I'm the typical older male of the species
here, too - I'm not one to get emotional at the drop of a hat usually.
I reckon y'all have taken care of that particular little problem too now. :)

Anyways, back to the point of this post!
Jerry Hall, come on down and accept your FBBO public embarrassment. :)
God love ya man, PP received just fine and totally unexepected!
I really appreciate your taking the time to write such a nice letter, too. It means
the world, man.
THANK YOU!!

Oh, PS:
I still haven't figured out what screen name goes with the real name Brad Kennerson.
If anyone can help out with that, I'd be eternally grateful - or if I need to take his name off here,
let me know that too.

Thanks as always everyone! Thursday night ought to be a hoot around here....
we may even see Leanna's head explode that night. :)
Ed

Okey dokey boss, I’m ready for the details whenever they become available.
Hey thanks for jumping in and helping!
If you do PayPal, my email on there is [email protected]. I constantly let Leanna know when
someone has sent me something - and from there, you work out the shipping details with the
generous donor of the item you've won.
Thanks again!
Ed

What a wonderful story. Thanks for sharing it!
Yes, although I'm still struggling a bit with the gifts, both my wife and Leanna, among others, pointed
out the bigger picture here - how such a thing as this is a rallying point for so many good hearted people
and that it does the community as a whole a lot of good in the end, too.
Count me as a witness to that. Amen!

Yes, you're also totally correct - the messages, letters, notes are what are getting me blubbery - over and
over again, seemingly every day.
You live the life I have and you learn to get a protective crust built up almost, to help survive the next
whatever is coming to bite me in the arse. It's only natural to do so - a defense mechanism.
At the same time though, one keeps trying to get it right the next time, too - and help wherever you can
if you can. That part you're born and raised with - I certainly was.

Well, y'all have done busted that crust all to heck at this point....
And got me talking earnestly with Him again, too. I had not only about give up on myself, but as a result
Him too, thinking He had with me already.
Reckon I was wrong yet again - and I don't mind being wrong in this case one bit!
God bless you and yours and THANK YOU!,
Ed

Prayers for your wife, brother! Take care of yours first, we'll be here whenever. :)

Go ahead and delete that post, brother. I got the PP just fine, thank you!
All good to go and I'm sure @1967coronet will be in touch for shipping soon as he can.
THANKS!

I’ve already messaged him as well, Ed. Peace to you brother!
