Funny or stupid things that your "friend" did.....

Most "good" mechanics can tell the size of a wrench by looking at it, not him. It was even better cause he had metric & standard!
Problem with pranks like that are the paybacks, they can be a bitch.

We all have friends that have done some stupid stuff, right?
Sometimes the stupid stuff is done by US but it is fun to tell the story as if it happened to the other guy.
The following is true though.....
I used to be friends with this guy that I will call Mike. We met when in High School in the 80s. We worked at Burger King at the same time and years later, worked a few construction jobs together. He was always a bit unhinged and had the worst temper of any person that I ever met but over the years he did things that just went further and further out of bounds.
In his first year in construction, he destroyed 5 Skilsaws. He would sometimes get pissed off for whatever reason and smash the saw against the concrete or bash it with his hammer. He once climbed off of a roof to smash his radio because a Tim McGraw song came on and he hated that guy.
A woman broke up with him and he was really pissed about it. While out hunting, he found a dead lamb and dragged it to his truck. He then drove to a concert venue where the ex was there to see some band play. This guy paid the $12 parking fee to get in the parking lot and drove up and down the rows of cars until he found her truck, then put the dead animal on the hood of her car.
I have plenty more stories on this guy but I'll save them for next time. What stories do you have?

And we're to believe that a friend did that?

I remember a neighbor up the street who thought it would be a great idea to dismantle fireworks mainly rockets and light all the colored gun powder in a pile.... He was down at the bottom of concrete stairs with a pile on the landing area before you go in to the basement. He light a lighter and it exploded burning his clothes, One hand and his eye lashes and eyebrows and burned his hairline back... Leaving him with black burned dots in his face... Luckily I was standing outside the steps on the ground and did not get burned at all... Never forget that I was about 12...

Got my neighbor throwing a log 5 or 6 times at his lawn mower. Sitting in my sunroom I hear a sound like a hoarse dog barking. Look to see what's up, he's screaming at his wife, so....
He's calmed since his crazy kid went into was state institutionalized for threatening to burn their house and physically harm them.

At work Bus garage Bronx NY, new guy a Vietnam vet. Who was on the enterprise. working the flight deck as a mechanic. Local TWA 100 had a program to retrain into the Diesel field. First day we do breakdown of all brakes and finish up with State DOT inspection. I install a special brake measuring tool. And give instructions , then tell him to take a seat while I bring bus to specific speed to test brake stopping distance. So he tell me it ok I can stand in place on a flight deck, this is nothing. Well......
I hit the brakes , damage to front Windshield glass and he also hit the door mechanism putting it out of alignment. Spent the next2 hours on repairs

became friends for over 35 years. Until his passing.

Omg where do I start. While out drinking and driving around as teenagers I had a buddy that was a linebacker for our high school. We all stopped to relieve ourselves, he sees a snowman and decides to give it a flying shoulder tackle. We had to take him to the emergency with a dislocated shoulder and broken collarbone. The snowman was built around a tree.

The first day of our senior year, a buddy who had already graduated from another school though it would be funny to come to school with us and pretend to be a new transfer student from Pittsburgh. When asked where he went to school in Pittsburgh, he replied, "uhhh, Pittsburgh High?". He put on a performance that shamed any class clown that I had ever seen. He actually made it to 5th period before the threw him out. Then he told the principal that he couldn't leave because his car keys were in some kid's locker. Then I was paged to the office to get his keys. For some reason, none of the teachers saw the humor.

This guy, "Mike"....
While out hunting from his car, he got annoyed that the door kept trying to close as he had his rifle on the window sill. He ended up stopping the car, getting out and shooting the door.
He hated getting stopped by the Police for traffic violations so to "get back at the cops", he put together a fake drug kit consisting of a case with a ball point pen converted to look like a syringe, a spoon and a baggie with cooking flour in it. His belief was that they'd arrest him for possession, find out the stuff was fake and then feel cheated when the drug stuff wasn't real.

And we're to believe that a friend did that?

Dang RC....you afraid to just come out and say that KD is talking about himself?? :D :D :D

I know that these stories about "Mike" sound outrageous. The are but they are also as true as can be. He simply has trouble dealing with things that he doesn't like. For a long time, my own temper was worse than it is now partly because I saw that I wasn't as bad as Mike so I must be okay.
We met in High School when he came to work at the Burger King where I had been working for about 3 months. He was from the neighborhood and I knew who he was and didn't like him. He turned out to be a funny guy and a car enthusiast so we started hanging out. Back then he wasn't as angry or paranoid. Over the years though, he got worse and worse.

He worked for "ABC" construction company and wrecked and rolled a water truck. The dirt road had a long grade with a sharp turn at the bottom and after many trips back and forth, he just got too comfortable on the last pass and was going too fast toward the bottom. He was immediately fired and then went looking for another job. Word gets around in construction though. Two jobs he went to said they weren't hiring but "ABC might be hiring, they just fired a guy for rolling the water truck".

Steve was another guy that I knew. I met him when he was 26 and still a virgin. He wasn't a bad looking dude but he had low self esteem. He got a good paying job after a string of low paying jobs and this new gig allowed him to save up money to move out of Mom's place. He messed up something before the probationary period was up and was laid off. He told me that he cried when they handed him his check.
Yeah, the dude cried after getting laid off.

Steve finally lost his virginity to a woman that was 13-14 years older than him when he landed a better job at a computer software company. You know how some people get really attached to their "first" ? Yeah, Steve was obsessed with this woman. I think she took pity on the guy and threw him some snapper to make him feel better.
She broke up with him and he was not taking it well.
One weekend, Steve and I were out at the bars as we often did. He was drunk and saw her out with her friends. He started to make a scene and she left. Moments later I stuffed him in my truck and went back to my place so he could sleep it off. He decided to get in his truck to "drive around and look for her". While out and about, he drove up behind a Police car and almost rear ended it, then turned off and came back to my place, knocking open the door and saying "If anyone asks, I've been here all night".
The Police arrived moments later and arrested him for DUI.

Mike developed some paranoia and had a chip on his shoulder as he got older.
He used to think that the neighborhood teenagers that frequently walked by his house had a problem with him. This developed into a need for revenge in his mind. He called me to tell me of how he was tired of the kids messing with him and asked If I had a car he could borrow, one that was NOT registered in my name.
Uhh, no....WHY?
He ended up buying some cheap motorcycle, he spray paint dyed his hair and went to the place where the kids used to hang out. Once the kids showed up, he tried to chase them down. This spilled onto the street where one kid tore through a screen door of someone's house. Mike followed in with a pipe in hand. The home dweller chased him out.
Later as he was getting out of the shower, the cops were knocking on his door. Two cans of the hair paint were in the trash can of his bathroom.
He spent 2 nights in jail and bailed himself out. At tax time, he called me to ask if B A I L was tax deductible!

My dad was a Commercial PVF & water heater specialist/salesman for a large distributor in Detroit. In 1975 ish he took me down the the Renaissance Center building that was then being built and where he had the contractor account for the plumbing supplies.
My older cousin Mike just became a licensed plumber and was working on the 70th floor, my dad took me up there in a jump elevator to check things out and see Mike, while up there my dad told Mike, “hey Mike, some guy down at the base of the building just moved your motorcycle into the mud and pulled in his Oldsmobile in its spot”
Mike looked over the side, laughed, grabbed a cinder block, and skillfully aimed and dropped the block 70 floors into the hood of the car.
My dad said, “I’m not sure but I think that was the union local BA’s car”
We never heard anything about it and my cousin remained on the project till it was done.

Street racing in the 70's in Ft Worth. I had a 69 RR post car that was 383, 4-speed, 4:10, Cheater Slicks, and NOS. Came out of the hole, hooked up, grabbed second and then leaned in to the switch under the gas pedal and when the entire body started to lift, there was this big boom and oil pressure went to zero and oil started pouring out from the left side of the car. Coasted over and started looking for the hole in the block and there lying on top of the k-frame was half of the Harmonic Balancer that split right at two of the four notches we made to adjust the rocker arms. The other half sheared off the end of the oil filter and was lying on the frame rail. Put the towbar on, towed it home and replaced the balancer without notches this time. Dent in the k-frame was an inch deep.

Former company's maintenance crew was over the top:

Night shift guys drilled a 1/2" hole in the back of a day shift maintenance guy's tool box and filled it with 3 -55 gal grease drums.

In retaliation the day shift guy filled all the drawers of the night shift guys tool boxes up with silicone.....just before a holiday - 200 caulking tubes worth.

Night shift guys put a dead rattlesnake in the floorboard of the day shift guys truck - he cut his head and fell down and had to have stitches.

Day shift guy waits until after night shift guy clocks in, takes the big fork truck and puts his car on top of the building, hides the big fork truck in the warehouse and cuts the propane line. then goes to the hose crimping machine and cuts off the electrical cord.

The best part is All of maintenance gets in trouble for "excessive unapproved overtime"

Used to work with a guy that had a weak stomach. At lunch we would wait until he was nearly done eating then open our mouth and show him a chewed up bite of sandwich. He'd be out the door and puke. The rest of the afternoon he'd be bitchin' at us because he was hungry.
