I know I just posted this, may have been another thread ? I found this wheel from another Member here, along with some other hard to find '63 parts/panels. Needed some work, but a friend just refinished it for me. Looking forward to this year, and wrap my build up...

I do have a question about your hood scoop. Is it metal or fiberglass? Does it have a gasket between it and the hood? Is it mounted with screws?

Thanks!

It’s fiberglass. It’s the only one that has the correct mounting tabs that are identical to the original aluminum one. It took me a long time to find it. Made by Glasstek. It also has the exact same dimensions as the original aluminum scoop. The original max wedge once had no gasket, put I did have to file fit the scope mounting edge to the hood to have the least amount of air gap. The screws and bolts are the same once that they use to mount the splash guard and radiator core support. They are like the fender mounting hardware only much smaller. I’ll try to get a picture for you to see. A guy on eBay had them in black oxide, that’s how the original once were mounted. Hope that helps

The last picture is the lower splash guard, the same factory hardware that holding this piece on is the same once they used for the scoops

Thanks Chuck! My 63 is a restomod, the work was done over 10 years ago, and the rubber gasket is starting to lose its shape.and has some minor gapping. Im sure its fiberglass as well, was hoping to find a replacement gasket.

Got flexible bumper paint and primer in PP1 to paint the lower dash steering column cover and horn button support ring to match my new steering wheel.

I’m here at MATS in Vegas this year again with the Savoy! Great event and good turn out. Just sharing it with Ford and Chevy guys now. Sunny but cold and windy.

You have a car, people dream about, glad you shared, keep them coming & congratulations

Don't show up those guys too bad...they get upset!

Well it was a Great Show again! Got First Place this year. Even with Fords and Chevy’s to compete with. I always love this event because of the Drag Racing and car show. Thanks for all the praises. I really appreciate it
