Bandimere Speedway in Denver is closing.

They announced today that 2023 will be their last season. I saw it coming. For the last 2 years, Denver has been building nice new homes closer and closer to the track. The homes are forcing the encroachment since Bandimere has been there for 60 years. I wondered how the residents could handle the noise. The land is spectacular I hope they get 100 billion dollars for it! It sucks because there are a lot of drag races there of national importance.

Hopefully the find a new location, not around houses, I'm waiting for them to complain about the airport next

The county has had a bullseye on their back for a long time. John said they are looking for a place to move to, but don't see it happening. Too bad I have 30 years of racing memories there. 65 years.
