Yes, Hagerty readily agrees to "agreed value" policies, even for my lowly ol' GTX....

Hagerty, in Canada at least, thankfully requires no appraisal anymore. Just a few pictures and you pick a value. Like I said, I insured my Bee for almost double what their value guide shows for a #1 car... and I'm still not covering what I have in it! lol

regular insurance (old company) wanted 2600 a year for my hellcat which started at 1650 2 months prior. perfect driving record over fifty. 840 year now with an agreed value of 65k and better coverage thru grundy's package.

Yep, I emailed them a few pics back when first purchasing coverage several years ago and as the project moved
forward, I'd periodically call them up and increase the covered value on the car to what it is now.

As far as the claims process goes...
Imagine the fun I had with 'em when I managed to bump into my own garage door opening with the GTX.
        Geez, THAT'S not embarrassing.... :)
To their credit, they were perfectly polite about it.
No doubt there was a laughing convention in their office when the agent hung up with me, though.

It was no different for Classic collectors....Agreed value etc...but near half the price of what your paying for the similar coverage.....

Some people dont shop around anymore when they believe they have the best in their mind.......Thats fine but some of us have shopped around and there are other sources for the same coverage and for less.....

That is great they gave you high values for your cars.....I too have the X "agreed to value" way over what you posted and that was just from pictures as well.....I agree to push the AGV as high as you can get for what one can afford.......The same coverage through Hagerty was double.....just saying sometimes shopping around is a good thing...that is if you can accept change....

I’ve had Hagerty since I got the 69 Charger. No claims and no issues. Pretty reasonable too. No complaints. But, like I said no reason to use yet either.

FYI, As far as towing etc, we do have AAA and all of our vehicles are covered. Seemed better and cheaper to go that route than to add to all the policies. I’m sure policies are different and a good thorough check would be in order.

          I have Hagarty as well.
          Agreed value.
I’ve never had a claim, but given their track record, I have no reason to worry.
I’ll have to check my policy, but I don’t believe there are any heavy handed restrictions on driving.
If you have a show poodle, check and see if you qualify for a reduced rate because of minimal driving.

Be careful with the difference between “agreed value” and “stated value”.

I did have to guarantee the vehicle was garage kept in a locked facility and sent a walk around video and several pics

I had Condon and Skelly when I had the X. My rate was lower here in CA than when I had Grundy in MN - oddly enough. No restrictions but they wanted an estimate of how much I would be driving it. Pics to get coverage. High limits insured the car for what I thought it was worth. Very high liability limits to correlate with my other vehicles. No claims, no issues. Easy to deal with for what I needed.

Yeah, I shouldn't have used the term "agreed". I tell Hagerty what value I want coverage on ("stated").
          Apologies...
          As far as driving restrictions go, they just pretty much don't want me daily driving the GTX to work and such;
they did specifically ask me if I had any other vehicles.
          "Yeah, a few...." :)

Have had Hag for several years now no claims; nice to read here that fellow Hag's had good claims service. My premium is $333 on a stated value $35k though I have $10k more than this in it. All they wanted was a pic when I upped the value.

Had Hagerty with no claims. Switched to NCM Insurance when Hagerty got squirrelly on a late model collector car. If you haven’t checked out NCM you need to, saved a bunch of money and they are great people to work with and a sponsor of MCACN. Don’t be afraid of the ‘C’, it stands for Corvette. No claims other than a tow with NCM either.

I'm leery of State Farm. We have had everything with them for years - vehicles, house, umbrella. So I checked with them on our Satellite when we bought it. Our agent said, sure - we have a collector car division now. He came over, snapped some pics, and wrote the policy for the value I wanted. Of course, he had no idea what he was looking at. About a month later, I received a letter from them. They said they valued our car at only $9500. (well under the stated value we had on it). It was then that I realized that State Farm's collector car division does not understand collector car values. $9500. for an original, running, driving unrestored 4-speed Hemi car? Yes, it doesn't have great paint and has rust, and I think that's all they can see. No further investigation into the condition of the car - they just judged it off of my agent's pics and assessed it for that amount. I was on the phone with Hagerty within 5 minutes of reading that letter. I emailed a couple of pictures to them and it was a done deal. No fuss, no muss. So, beware of State Farm collector insurance should you ever have to collect.

{Auto Owners} insurance. Agreed value, no mileage or use limits. Cheaper than Hagerty by $40.00 per year

One issue with insurance and agents, is about every three years check on pricing and coverage. (I worked in the industry years back on the business side in work comp and property.) I tend to be a loyal sort, in this case, trusting that my agent is looking out for me and accordingly, not doing any checks on my own. My agent was a guy I'd known for 30 + years when we worked for the same ins co, so I gave him blind trust. Well he apparently got friggin lazy as I found screw ups such as one of my vehicles still on a policy that should have been nuked when I sold it and another I bought that wasn't on the policy. Initially gave him some slack as an old work friend until another issue (on my biz ins side) where at the ninth hour I get notice my liability premium would rise by 4 grand. He says 'this is just the market'. I had a couple other agents I knew and was able to get a policy at near my old rate. So a year later my old agent calls me wanting me back to cover that biz policy again! Fucker never even said he was sorry when 'I' went scrambling around to find the coverage to save me $4000...exactly the friggin work you'd expect your agent to do! Bit later I did more exploration on my home owners coverage I had still kept with him and found same coverage with another agent for $1200 less. What I've found is if you don't squeak every so often the agent isn't going to stay tuned to find you the best deal. Many companies I work with subscribe the 3-year routine with allowing other agents in to quote their insurance. I was real happy with the home owners insurer I had when got majorly hit by hail - I ended up staying with them...just with a different agent.
