Update --- Thanksgiving in an extended health care facility / nursing home is --- N O T --- the place to be .....
Yes, we did have Turkey as our lunch, but a) store bought package of turkey, not the real thing.... And b) not nearly enough... I am used to making the toilet beg for forgiveness the following day --- that is what men are supposed to do --- and no need for that...

And, the small piece of Pumpkin Pie, was easily the worst that I had ever had.... BOO ......

But, I am not here for the food.... And, the Football was pretty good, especially my VIKINGS beating the Patriots that night to rise to
9 - 2 !!!
Of course, the N F C Final Four, will be
1) Eagles vs. the 5) Cowboys &
2) Vikings vs. the 3) 49ers....
At that point, we'll see who can win 2 games to face MVP Pat Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and the Kansas City Chiefs....

So, on to why I am here....
I have Physical Therapy 5 days a week --- Monday through Friday --- they are closed on the weekends, but I am not --- I am working 7 days a week....
In this facility's gym, I am placed on all the machines --- the hand and arm cycle machine, the ski machines , one for legs and the other for arms and legs, the weight lifting machine for arms, shoulders, biceps, and triceps, and walking inside the parallel bars and in the walker (as the wheelchair is brought behind me, God forbid, I would have to go down... So far, no incidents.... Whew !!!)

In the room, mornings, evenings, and weekends (my scheduled P.T. is 1 P.M. to 4 P.M.) I am doing the necessary leg lifts --- especially on the left leg --- straight up and out, in a marching formation up and down, and side to side....
When I got here, I could do ZERO, ZERO, and ZERO.......
I am now at about 8 " , 12 " , and 12 ".... A long way to go to get to where you guys are (try it), but I am not willing to be a vegetable....

Heck, it has almost been 3 months now, because if I do not hear from my lawyer today, I will be calling him tomorrow morning with the "friendly reminder" phone call Wednesday morning, because the deadline to file the " Cause to show Claim " to let the county and Police Department know that they are being sued is Friday, December 2nd... And we *** CAN'T *** miss that deadline....

Doing my " hand scrunchies " all day long --- this little thing you squeeze to strengthen the hands, wrists, and biceps --- and while I work the left hand twice as hard as the right, I've got a little
"Something Something" poppin' up on the right bicep !!!
When I get done with all this hard work, I am going to be able to flex and be able to tell the ladies " This way to the beach !!! "

Hi Craig, it was nice talking to you yesterday. I trully hope you fully recover. I've always told you i appreciate what you do for our hobby. It's ashamed what happened to you. Unfortunbately we can't change what happened. But fight forward for your health. I'm sure everyone here wishes the same. I also hope the dirty misinformed police learn a very tough lesson. Craig called me a couple of weeks ago while in my car with my wife - so it was on speaker. I can’t honestly say I know him well but Wow can that man talk - no need for breathing there. I did get some words in edgewise. We’re obviously huge Vikings fans but he’s from the East (NJ) and I’m from Viking Land. It was a great conversation - My wife Cam who’s from Saigon just sat and listened in amazement - never having been exposed to a whirlwind like Craig. We’ve texted a few times - but on the phone call he gave me a schematic of his world in 15-20 mins without taking a breath. I was getting just as much enjoyment watching Cam’s face as I was the conversation. Made my day and I think a bit of his too. That man’s not going anywhere soon - he sounds like he has one hell of a constitution. Get well soon my friend!

Crazy incident for sure. Hope Craig gets better faster and resumes a normal life.. I wonder if the case got filed in time..

Friday was the deadline -- exactly 90 days from the date of the incident...
And it was filed on Thursday, December 1st -- day 89....

Not the whole case --- just the " Cause to show claim " letting
Nassau County and the Nassau County Police Department
That they are being sued for their inept handling of this situation,
And causing my inability to even walk, solely because of their actions
And their ineptness.....

Meanwhile, even on weekends, when Physical Therapy is closed,
I am working out on everything.....
Just paused for served lunch, and now on to leg extensions, and more.....

Brother Craig - it clearly sounds as if you’re in complete control of things …. Or as much as the Good Lord will give you. Tried to pm you a few times - assumed you’re just busy. I once again Reiterate how much I hope you make that city/county pay for what they did to you. The Vikes are showing wear and tear. They are playing almost exclusively with 3rd stringers on the O Line and looking everywhere for some help for the playoffs. Yep GB kicked our butts but … Oh that’s right The Vikings are NFC North Champions and they’re not. Playoffs will be difficult - Maybe our lucky stars would present us with TB as a first round opponent.

Just got off the phone w/Brother Craig. Good to hear from him. Spunky as ever. But he’s also having systems issues as far as being able to pm and post on any of the sites. He’s planning on trying to hit up @Joeychgo for some help. Hard to tell if its on his end w/equipment or a system issue.

Seems to be progressing physically quite well. Needs a good competent engaged attorney in case any one on the forum knows one where he is.

Of course we talked playoff scenarios for our beloved Vikings. We both agreed we have a tough road to row. Not many of our options look too favorable - but as a lifelong Viking fan you learn you have to go on faith. Hopefully we get by the first round - after that we’ll likely all be watching beside the fire in the living room. Anyway Craig gives his best to all and asks patience until he gets his online issues corrected. As he says - always available by the Telly……

The best way to curb LEO violence is to sue them. Municipal insurance companies don't want to cover overly violent cops.

I hope Craig’s progress is slow and steady, with times for rest and relaxing, and during workout time, full of strengthening and healing. It’s a shame what happened to him, and although a big payday is certainly due, my prayers are for a full recovery, and a pain free life ahead. I can’t wait to play the Mopar engine displacement pricing game again, but this time I’m picking the 170ci, instead of the 440!

Keep up the hard work, Craig, you got a hell of a lot of friends in your corner!
