The ol airforce base is gettin a workout today!

JBLM is going to have their first airshow in about seven years this coming weekend.

Any and every kind of military(and some civilian) plane has been up and down off the main runway coming right directly over our warehouse this morning. Altitude over our warehouse is about 150'-200'(NOT KIDDING!!!!)

So far, I either seen or heard C-17's, F-16's, F-18's, Apache helicopters, and whatever else they have scheduled, taking off and landing, doing touch'n'go's, flying laps around the airfield, or just about anything you can imagine.

The Thunderbirds should be showing up here soon as they are on for this weekend too.

If anybody is interested.......I'll be in our parking lot on Saturday...sittin in a lawn chair.....keeping "hydrated", with my eyes to the sky. Feel free to stop on by and spectate from a VERY close location......without having to deal with all of the crowds.

This is a "Bring Yer Own Chair" event!!!!!

OHHHHHH the smell of jet fuel on my lunchbreak!!!!!

EDIT: Not quite sure what that plane was that just went over.........but the bones in my ribcage are still rattlin around!!!!!!!! I think I need to go stand in the parking lot for just a little bit......

:xscuseless: No, not your ribcage,

Wow, great photos. Those flyovers are very low. I don't think you could be any closer unless you were flying something!

I was thinking about going, and may have braved the traffic if I had read your invite earlier... .....which I heard was miserable.

Maybe next year.

Standing in our parking lot, the sensation of one of those jets going over your head at about 150' altitude, at about 650 mph......will give you a whole new perspective on real unadulterated(but totally under control) horsepower.
