I found this 64 Sport Fury Friday 16 Dec....

Good luck Ski
looks like a solid project car

I'm not really up on those years values to make an honest assessment
but it looks like most of it is there, rough but the parts are mostly there...
It already has a BB, the shop owner probably has a lien for payment
on it too, get it cheaper is better...

If I was actually looking for 1, I'd pay up-to $5k probably too...
Running & driving with a title in that apparent condition, with a good/clear tiltle...

Good luck, hope you get another project,
like we really needs another one too

:realcrazy: Look forward to another :poke: build thread...

Very Cool . . . So, did you get it ? ? ? Why can't I stumble on a very cool ride just like this ? ? ? ? ( yes - I'm always looking . . . )

I find them when I stop looking! lol

That is so true . . . however . . . I'm waist deep in my Belvedere Convertible build, so I don't really need another car and I need to keep my focus on getting this car finished, on the road, and driving . . .

but - BOY does that 64 Sport Fury look awesome ! ! !

I'm hoping to pick the car up today, 13 January 2017
He spent nearly 48K to get it running
Fully rebuilt 727 transmission
Brand new brakes
Engine running great
Drive it anywhere
Needs:
Of course Body work
Needs interior
Update Monday 16 Jan

Anxiously waiting for your update . . . Thanks ! ! !

Did you guys bump your heads or what?

That car needs every thing in the world just to get the exterior done.
If you can find the parts. Try finding the red white and blue trunk emblems.
Interior will be $3500+++ tires wheels hub caps.................tail lights alone will set you back a grand or more.
BUY ONE DONE FOR 15k AND MOVE ON.

Amen!

Or he can just drive it as is and have fun with it in that "dusty" part of town where he lives :)

Light touch with some 1000 grit, then seal in clear coat and enjoy.
I like it even with missing and mangled trim.

I fat fingered the shift key for the Dollar sign...

The 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury is being picked up today for delivery to Fellow Forum member "Majestix"
Good luck with it and please send us pics "Tom"

Thats good to hear, hopefully we can watch it being re-purposed..
Personally I wouldn't touch the exterior....fix the interior, detail the engine bay, upgrade the suspension and the beat the crowds away when it was time to leave!

I agree Mike!
The underneath (Chassis) was all hand sanded and wire brushed and painted, new brakes, newly rebuilt 727 Trans (Coincidently, I know the builder) and the engine starts right up.
Come to find out, the owner bought a ranch with home and the 64 Plymouth Sport Fury was abandoned on the property. (Barn Find)
He took it to a shop in Tehachapi CA where the mechanic performed all the work.
I would invest in a complete new interior from Legendary or SMS, pull and rebuild the engine and keep the outside as is...
PS: Engine fires right up!
Original carter carb I think.
