need help identifying air cleaner please. it appears that this is not a drop top air cleaner, although i thought it was. I was trying to use this on a 70RR with a 440 and a mopar wedge dual plane intake, but it hits the hood. any idea what this air cleaner is for originally?
I had the identical unit on a 340 engine using a Carter AVS carb. The air cleaner base matches the carb air horn, 5 1/4" , the filter element sits on the base and this top fits over the filter element. The nipple connects to the crank case breather cap via a short length of hose. Sorry, I cannot remember the filter element number.
Just my opinion of course.

I had one on my 68 Barracuda Formula S 383 4-speed. I changed it to the larger diameter one due to the production date of the car. @BeepBeepRR owns it now.
