What did you do to your Mopar today?

Yea it was pretty ugly in that pan.

My friend Al stopped by with his 383 4 speed 69 Dart GTS, and let me take it out for a ride! It has been about a year since a drove a 4 speed Mopar! It sure felt great rowing it through the gears! He put the diaphragm style pressure plate in it,and it was a bit easier on the leg than the Borg and Beck three finger pressure plate. I put the same one in my 70 V code Charger R/T so it was good to get a feel for how my Charger R/T is going to drive!

I started putting the exhaust system on the 70 Charger R/T V code car on Monday night after work, finished it on Tuesday night after a 12 hour day at work. I worked a 12 hour day again on Wednesday and came home and changed the fuel pump on the Charger convertible.

That leaves no time for nooky.

The wife was working second shift so nooky wasn't in the cards anyway! Lol Do you get more nooky now that you are retired?

Hell no! I'll even say that time goes by just as fast as when I was working. Its just now, I'm not stressed to get everything done as fast as I used to do in my non-working hours.

I have 14 more months to go before I reach the age where I am eligible to retire. It doesn't mean that I can,but if it possible I will.

i have a ignition problem with my 72 newport . one minute is starts and then the next it just cranks over no spark .
i have two boxs good grounds and if i change it over to the other box it starts then if i shut it off and put it back on the other box it will start right up . using a black box an orange box and a blue box . but it dont do it all the time . its time to put it over to protonixe's

I was playing with the carb today replacing the step up springs. I always figured the stock air cleaner base was trapping a lot of heat between the manifold and the carb. I decided to try the two unsilenced bases I had. The stock one fit fine, so I decided to try the drop base. It cleared everything as well, so I could use it with my taller K&N filter. We'll see how it works.
The open lid I made for the old race car was in the same box, so I couldn't resist posting a picture.

I hadn't really touched the car since Carlisle. Today, it was time to spiff it back up after driving through some light rain coming home from Carlisle. The rear bumper was especially gross. You can see some of the build up just under the taillight housing. Next photo is the reflection in the front fender after a polish. After that is the quarter panel.

It's good to be a machinist with access to a full shop of CNC lathes and mills...although for this little project all I used was a Bridgeport mill.

Had to clearance my valve covers to fit the ProFlo manifold.

Started mocking up moving the alternator to the driver's side so I can put the AC compressor on the passenger side....

When these cars were designed they sure weren't wrapping us kids in bubble wrap like they do today. A feat... but we're all ready for the family cruise tomorrow. Good thing the Daughter has short legs as I had to move the front seat fully forward to get it in. At least next year I'll be allowed to turn the seat around.
