Got a few more things in from classic industry's my torsion bars ,the front end rebuild kit the close ratio Pittman and idler arms the wood steering wheel the energy suspension bush kit gas tank straps still missing a few parts from them

Found and vacuumed out yet another rodent community in the 1955 Plymouth.

I tried to tighten by alternator and power steering belts and found the adjustment bolt hole for the alternator had stripped. I had to break out the old tap & die kit and rethread the hole. Thank goodness I bad a bolt in the bin that would fit.

Then I went to loosen the adjustment bolt for the steering, and was shocked to find it finger loose! How it came loose I have no idea, but it's torqued down now.

woo hoo.... got some parts from 65roadracer. Michael has been great to deal with and he cleaned all the parts up too. Everything was nicely packed up and arrived in good shape. Unfortunately I have to go back to work for a while. I'll be having some fun this weekend.

Went to body guy for estimate of bodywork&repaint after 49 yrs. Clearcoat,etc for $4500-5000. I have to remove all chrome. Seemed reasonable.

Got the replacement tail light bezels delivered when I was at work so I threw them on before heading out for a cruise. The original ones are in good shape, but need the chrome redone.

California car...sand in the old bezel. Pretty neat.

They are made by OER, got them from Dante's, but they're at all the major players (Summit, Jegs, etc).

Working on the set up and installation of a home fabricated fresh air induction on Brutus, the 64 Dodge. Air comes in the inside headlight buckets , along the outside of the inner fenders and through the inner fenders where it will hook up to flexible ducting and then to the dual snorkle air cleaner. ............................MO

Oil change in rear 8 3/4. Made this vacuum can device powered by vacuum cleaner.
Works better if rer diff oil is warm.

Just ordered more parts tonight. Not even going to tell the wife. Ordered the trans cooler lines, the thin steel head gaskets, oil pan bolts as the original are pretty rust, but these new ones have large washers and a plastic locking feature in the threads. Plus a pair of oil pan/windage tray gaskets. Most of what I ordered Monday is already here. Still, need crank/rod bearings and a cam kit to finally assemble this engine. I don't think I will put it in yet. Just too busy right now.

is it ok to use white lithium grease on the polyurethane bushings when putting on the LCA & UCA's that I got from 65roadracer? The bushing are all installed, i'm just getting ready to start putting them on the car. Thanks Ken

Thanks mmissile. I found energy suspension bushing lubricant. I had looked for it by the performance rack at orielly but didn't see it. Website says they have it.

Auggie is headed for divorce! I've already got ok for repainted from mine! She doesn't want to ride in current condition, heck, she did most of the minor damage, but we won't get into that.

Not the prettiest looking thing, but it's only temporary. But I got the gauges mounted (all but the tach as the lock ring is missing), and ran most of the wires. Tomorrow I'm going to tie what I can in and see how it all works.
