Got the driver side lower door hinge done FINALLY and have started on the passenger side.

I mounted 2 tires for the back. They are on the wheels but not on the car yet. It's rolling on the BFGs & Road Wheels now but not for long as I intend to annihilate them.
That won't take long as my test blip of the gas pedal indicated instantly with a huge cloud of white smoke...
I remember my dad telling me he drove the car hard but never abused it. It looks like he liked leaning in to corners by the condition of the undercoating. Left AND right evidently. "I" did/have not rubbed off any of it!

BTW, this is the first 'nanny' tire I've seen.
Do all new tire have this feature?

Finally got my intake powdered coated at a local shop that's done work for me in the past, I'm happy with it.

I'll touch up the Wilson plaque with some black high temp paint before installing.

I had started this a whiiile back, but getting sidetracked, etc... finally getting closer to installing on my motor.
I already have a Glasstek 6-pack hood needed for the raised height with the 1" tapered spacer and A/C, just need to get hinges.
Gathering parts (and money for parts) for the next round of upgrades along with 2" Drop spindles and 17" wheels, so hopefully complete within the next month, maybe 2...

Today, I finished screwing the outer window fuzzy to the '55 Plymouth passenger door and decided to pull the window regulator to see why it's so hard to wind up and down. I found corrosion on the steel channels in which the guides slide and that the regulator itself is a little out of whack. The large gear was cutting a groove in the plate to which it is mounted. I tweaked it a bit and cleaned and greased everything before putting it back in. It didn't even require any substantial cussing. It all works much better now.

It's not perfect and at the start I really tired to be as exact as I could masking parts off before painting but it turned out ok.
A bit lighter than maybe I wanted, though it's nice to have a full 3 piece grille back on after years of just the center section.

Looking closely you'll see flaws but it's good for a driver.

It's not perfect and at the start I really tired to be as exact as I could masking parts off before painting but it turned out ok.
A bit lighter than maybe I wanted, though it's nice to have a full 3 piece grille back on after years of just the center section.

Today, I installed the inner "cat whiskers" onto the upper passenger door molding on the '55 Plymouth wagon. Maybe tomorrow I'll have a chance to reinstall that and the door panel.

I finished with the window channel/window fuzzy installation on the passenger door of the '55 Plymouth. Before I reinstalled the door panel and upper trim, I decided to finally deal with what appeared to be a missing panel on the door, likely originally cardboard. I made a pattern and cut a piece out of a sheet of coroplast I had in the garage. Unfortunately, only three of the four clips have survived the years.

Pressure checked my junk yesterday. Soaped all the fittings, had to snug a couple up but....
Held 92 psi overnight.

After work today I emptied the car of road-trip trash/things and vacuumed it while it warmed up.
Then I just drove around for a while listening to its soothing rumble.
Tomorrow= front end alignment.
This weekend= I really want to roast the old BFGs so I can put on my new tires and un-dorkify the poor thing's mismatched wheels.

Well, I noticed that I have a split tie rod boot so my alignment appointment has been rescheduled for next week when I'll have new ones in hand.
Since the alignment is off I have switched plans to changing out my garage door rollers. No one local has them so I guess I'll HAVE to drive the Charger to Napa today...
