What did you do to your Mopar today?

Painted the trunk interior yesterday, so today I am making the package tray and trunk divider to seal it off and keep it clean in there, such a PIA I dont want to do it again!

What material did you make those out of? Mine are both looking a little worse for wear and shipping repros that size will kill me on shipping costs. I might make my own too.

Drove from MD to NYC last night for work, with the new brakes on the Grand Cherokee. Last trip, 23.5mpg (with the dragging caliper).

Last night, 27.8mpg.

Amazing the difference it makes when you aren't driving with the brake on.....

My boss and I went and grabbed the charger from my house and brought it up to our shop on Friday evening. I went in this morning and got the trunk sealed and painted. Feels good to finally be spraying paint.

Installed Rostra cruise control on my 2006 Wrangler. Moderate pain in the ***, but only because I'm old, I'm 6'4", and I don't fit under dashboards anymore to do wiring. Brake pedal switch - UGH!!!

Only thing left is tomorrow, pull the radio to access the illumination lead for dash lights, so the cruise buttons light up when I turn on the headlights. Just didn't feel like digging into that tonight. But I did a shakedown run, and the system works! LOVE IT!!

Put the Charger hood back together with the urethane damper epoxy, glad I took it apart and cleaned it up in there

I was cleaning on the GTX before I put it away for the winter when I noticed the sway bar was rubbing on the K-frame to core support brace. At some point in its life the brace got whacked hard enough to bend it. After straightening it out I stripped it to bare metal and gave it a fresh coat of paint. Hopefully it will be dry when the grandkids go home so I can put it back on the car.

Been chasing a ping/detonation issue in my '06 Wrangler. Really don't want to mess with dropping the (19 year old, 115k mile) fuel tank to swap the pump if I don't have to...so today I pulled the injectors out of my '06, and out of Michelle's '06, and swapped them. Put her injectors into my Jeep (hers runs like a champ)..."just to see".

Pulled mine out...OEM Mopar injectors, pentastar logo, factory PN...and the housings look like they got full of water and froze. They had stress fractures on every single one of them. No fuel leaks....but I can't imagine looking like that indicates anything good about the internals. Pulled hers out...looked nearly new. Clean, no dirt, no cracks.

Left her injectors in her rail, put new o-rings on the manifold end of the injectors, installed her rail/injectors into my Jeep, fired it up, sprayed brake cleaner to check for vacuum leaks (none), and went for a drive.

I was either imagining it...or it idled smoother. And ran better. Ran a couple errands, got it up to temp, and pulled a long grade that ALWAYS makes it ping. Like, I have to feather the throttle and lose momentum, to try and get it to shut up.

With her injectors...I just drove it up the hill. No issues.

Once I saw those...fractures, or whatever they are, on my injectors, I was going to order new ones regardless. Nice bonus that it should actually run better, too! New set ordered, should be here (depending on shipping delays) sometime next week.

Been running the whitewalls and stock OE hubcaps for about the past 18 months

Switched back to 15" magnums and redlines today

Loaded Krusty up for Sunday T&T at Milan. Should be some killer air. maybe that and some better fuel will knock a little off the et. We're pretty much up against a wall, till I get a new converter. Then, start over with the suspension and such.... Next spring.

got the dash harness, cluster, and steering column in the Cuda today, with the new rim blow wheel, love the look of those with the barracuda center cap
