Kicked a Carillo rod. I'm attributing it to dirty assembly. It was dyno'd and shipped, without my presence. Good oil pressure and ran fine, but kept getting debris in the filter cartridge. It was gone after 3 oil changes [in 10 passes]...but it would seem the damage was already done. Gonna sell the roller, and piece out the engine jewelry.

I'll probably be scarce on the sites, as all I'm really driving is my Gen-III stuff.

That's a very sad day. 9 yrs ago I blew the crank right out. And about 3 yrs ago finally pieced a used engine back together. Hopefully get a real trans built this winter. Luckily I'd built a street strip car to play with while the good one was down.

I'll get my other old car ready over the winter, to sell in the spring. It's sat on a hoist for 5 years. It'll probably need some real fuel-system attention and cleaning....
I'm gonna stick to my Gen-III cars.
