What did you do to your Mopar today?

Got the deck lid fitting

Decided I did not want to leave the big bottom door gaps, so came up with a plan to fix them. Had this piece of shelf standard standing in the corner for awhile, it was easy to cut in half and make 2 pieces of angle and weld them on the bottom of the doors. Filled the void with epoxy so should be plenty strong

One more side to do tomorrow. I like this epoxy from Harbor Freight- tough as nails, half hour working time and 5 bucks for 400 ml, compared to 80 bucks for 3M stuff

Completely going thru the brakes on my Road Runner. Everything new with exception of the original drums. They still had plenty of stock left in them, so I had them turned.

Does anyone do brake shoe arcing anymore?

I worked on removing all the silicone left on the flanges of a newly acquired Edelbrock 440 Torker II intake.

Then I blocked sanded the flanges down with some 150-grit and went around with a brass brush cleaning it.

Finally, a bubble bath in some Dawn dish washing soap and a good scrubbing. Next step a lite glass beading before I remove all the lettering on the outside.

Once that's complete, I'll do a little sanding with some 80-grit and a few coats of Seymour Alma Blast, and it will look brand new.

I already own most of the performance type 440 intakes, however I didn't have one of these in the collection.

This has been a great inside project for a cold winter's day.

Started the logo removal today with the deletion of the Edelbrock script. By the time I get through with all the outside grinding, resculpting, and sanding I'll probably have 35-40 hours in it.

Once all that's complete it will be time to start porting on it. I am giving serious thought to opening the plenum up on this one to accept a Magna Fuels shear plate.

I always do an intake project or two during the winter months. I don't enjoy aluminum sticking to my arms in the summer months.

Just something to stay busy on while the next 13 weeks pass by until warmer weather arrives.

Made a little more progress today. I am about 3 hours into the project. Have all the logos off the exterior, one of the machining location tabs removed and blended into the flange nicely.

Next step is to remove the other 3 machining location tabs, the coil bracket castings, and some general sanding with 50-grit paper.

Little here and a little there and I'll get it finished soon enough.
