69 Roadrunner 6.1 Hemi Swap

Looking good man, I thought the frame would have to be notched for the alt but there's plenty of clearance, good to know. Where did you get your tranny from? Are you running an aftermarket tranny kit?

The Tranny is a 4L60e, ive had it for a while. No kit with the tranny they seem to been VERY expensive.
 
Broke down and bought a single post lift... Life changer!!!

I looked at one of those wilcap adaptors when I had my Big Block, was going to use a 4l60e as well. I kept running into the issue no one could answer, what about my external balance? ended up using a small block Magnum and A518.

I think the name of the manufacturer is Tuxedo. But it's not indicated anywhere.

Some motors are designed with crank balance weights built into the flywheel and balancer out back and front, as opposed to only having counterweights acting on the crank itself. When a motor is externally balanced (using weights on the flywheel or balancer), those items are essentially married to the rotating assembly. They need to be replaced with an equally unbalanced set. This sometimes makes it difficult to use "conversion" components that replace the flywheel. The replacement flywheel would need to have the same counterbalance as the original.

Will I know when i start the engine...? Will the vibrations rattle the car apart??:eek:

A quick google search showed the 6.1 is an internally balanced motor, so as long as your builder didn't do something bizarre, there should be no counterweights on your flexplate/flywheel. Easier to make a conversion for an internally balanced motor as the flywheel/flexplate only needs to be balanced to itself.
