2 million clams down the tubes

People will spend six figures on a car, hyper restoring every nut and bolt or buying a rare exotic but won't spend what, a thousand dollars TOPS for some tires...

I wont run old tires, but for some reason the two automotive things I hate buying the most are Tires and Batteries.

30 years ago my Polyglas tires cost me $2400 to make the Bird look OE. I'm down to 80 bucks a year. Stored inside, never allowed to be soft/under inflated. 1/2 that time frame jacked and tires hanging so they didn't go square. Zero issues going 120MPH + at Atlanta, but I do know they're starting to go hard based on how long I can lay a patch and squawk second gear with an auto. Bee tires were 29 years old when I had the tire shop take the Michelin radials off and put my new Goodyear Redlines Raceways on, not one person in the tire shop / including the owners thought I was sane as they all said they'd run those old tires with out issue. Old steel belted radials, well that's another story. As for this one.. tires being at fault is just BS... just an asshole that couldn't drive..
