I was thinking $25k-$27k in today's crazy world

not $57k

I had 2 different 77 (EFI) super beetle convertibles
sold the last one, in like 1997-ish for $15k (low miles)
I had a turquoise/black & an orange/black one
(Orange was my then GF Vicky's car, I helped buy co-signed for her, just to get rid of the POS Honda 600, tired of fixing)
I thought that was a killer price
new it was like $4,999 in San Jose Ca.

Totally stupid, even here in Germany. Definitely too much for a bug.

Never liked the 70’s taillights. I like the 68-69 bug the best.
I guessed 50k because of the mileage.
Personally I wouldn’t go over 20-30k but it better be special and pristine.
Look at what the VW window busses are going for.
My uncle had a VW bus in the early 70’s and he would take me to Talladega for the NASCAR race in it.

My friend has a 98 Trans Am Ram Air, LS1 6 speed convertible Red,black top and interior with 300 miles on it.

Cult car following. Amazing.

That much crinkly green paper will buy a pretty nice Porsche 911 SC.
