i walked around it to get my tapemeasure ....
Farted as I passed it to get another beer from the soda machine
Looked at my car covered in the garage...Had to get started working on my landcruiser...Got to get it ready for rubicon in a couple of weeks....Too many toys and not enough time and money!!! Petty Blue 67 gTx
Replaced a U joint and installed the drive shaft in the green Belvedere, which was the last job to do on my 4.30 rear end swap. Went for a 10 mile test drive and nothing fell out.
Put the guts and glass back in my doors on the 69'.....Peeled off half the skin on my knuckles in the process. Good stuff!
Painted the battery tray and tray bolts rustoleum black. Put the battery back in and installed the new hold down bracket I bought. Entered an order with Summit Racing for new drums, shoes, and springs to do the brakes out back. Also put a pinstripe on the driver's side to see how it would look:
I like the way it looks from the back there Andy... Good luck on the new brakes...
today took the car cover off. lifted the hood hugged it put the cover back on
Murphys law..... I decided to refinish my steering wheel. Removed it...no problem. A little epoxy to fill the crack.. cure for 24 hours. then some sanding and a little spot filler... Dry time and a little more sanding... looking good. Apply some rattle can primer... A little more sanding... then three coats of shiny black, (another rattle can). Allowed to dry over night... looks great...! What the heck.. I bet a coat of clear will make it pop.. Sprayed the clear and the black immediatly started to craze up and crack. After it dries i'll strip it and try once again......... Gotta be ready early Sat morning for a show.....:icon_neutral:
Glared at both of my 74 satellites as I walked past them to get the 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan to bring the kids to school...contemplating selling the one satellite.....still dont have it running and the neighbor has been relentless (but respectful) on wanting to buy it.
Installed the front seat belts on the 440. They look good but they dyed the plastic holder sort of a color that don't match my interior so I'll have to search for dye that matches metallic fawn by Legendary.
Took it down off the jacks and backed it out of the garage after putting on the disc brake conversion. Enjoyed the sound of the new Hooker headers. Shwing!!
Well sir, Remembering the old days some, in my humble opinion the Hooker Headers sound better on Mopar then any other. Don't need the tunes with that sound! I have headers, but there not the Hookers.. Bet she sounded sweet!!
Hired the wife to help me put the doors back on the Roadrunner...... Phrase of the day............. "lefty loosey, righty tighty".........:sFun_doh2:
installed the 40 micron f/filter close to the f/tank and test fitted the 80 micron after the pump. snugged up the 1/2" f/line and emergency brake lines to the rear disc brakes. set the hemi in place for fit and clearance check. it's real close to the r/front shock tower housing. hope the tti's are as good as they claim. when i ordered them for a 69 b-body using shumacher kit they said ok. looks real close. tomorrow is another day.
Walked past it in the garage a dozen times. Put 8 spark plugs in the Durango. Does that count at all? lol
Thanks. The brakes should be fine and will be here today. Unlike my carb kit which is in purgatory since Canada's postal service is on strike. :cussing: I know the feeling. I've been glaring at my Mustang for over a month. Stupid transmission. Hate when that happens Looks good! would you recommend those for my 318? Still a Mopar, I didn't specify car or truck. _
Well...Started waxing the car after work last night(which lasted until 2:00 AM;so that falls under the heading "today") and finished that up this morning. Grabbed some touch up paint and went around and fixed some battle scars. Cleaned up the underhood area. Added 5 gallons of Sunoco 110 octane to the 93 in the tank. Told her I loved her. And,in a bit, gonna take her for a drive. Life is good.
Tomorrow I will take a bunch of photo at my 70 Coronet R/T clone ragtop and send those to a guy with a 69 Coronet R/T HT if everything works out we will do a trade in the beginning of july.
Was going to go have the rear tires mounted to see if they will fit on the car with the wheels that I have. The skys look like they could open up at any time, so that will have to wait for another time. Took care of a minor electrical gremlin, put on the inner sill plate on drivers side and temporarily put in the rear seat back, till I get the rear seat belts back. Oh yeah I also treated the front windshield with Rain-X. Hope the weather clears up tonight so I can maybe go to a little show.
