Viruses on moparts**warning***

just a heads up for all moparts users.
Theres a wicked TROJAN VIRUS on Moparts and Racingjunk, my AVG is picking them up on multiple threats daily.
If you go on the sites please have a good Virus protection on your computer. Its a wicked one and will crash your hard drive.

no problem,viruses can really suck. TROJAN VIRUSES are some of the worst.
I'm getting them daily from both places. I dont want anyone's computer to get infected. Xmas is right around the corner.

I was wondering where I kept picking it up. I even McAfee working but it didn't block it. I luckily got rid of it by doing a system restore. Picked it up three times in the last week. Done another system restore back a couple weeks and haven't seen it back again. Guess I better stay off Moparts for a while.

Thanks SSR!! I really don't go over there unless someone says to check this or that but its good to know! Funny this would come up i just put Nod 32 in my daughters computer and found 5 virus she had in it. If any of you guys may be interested in a anti-virus, Eset Nod 32 has a 30 day free trial Thought id pass it on.

I got crashed by it, it did appear to wipe me clean and then try to sell me an $80 program to fix it. It was explained to me that this virus just appears to hide everything but doesn't really. I did have to take my computer to have it taken care of and had my system updated, which it needed anyway. The whole thing ended up costing me less then $200 and was without the computer for a couple of days. It's working better then it has in a couple of years, so I guess it was worth it.

Got banned from there several times years ago and after the last time, I was able to sign up again but only rarely go there. Not worth the hassle of walking on eggs. One time I got kicked off for making a suggestion about something that would improve the site. WTH!! 6 months later, they made the improvement!

All I know is after going back on Moparts for the first time in a long time, my computer went haywire and stopped working. I don't even pretend to know anything about these things.

Cranky, im sure something was offered but if it was Eset Nod 32, Its half the price more then the nod 32 is, its 40 bucks the first year you get it and 20 something to upgrade the next year.. I cant see it being Nod but i don't know, it would be twice what you can buy it for though.

SO you saying that they specifically target folks that hang with previous Moparts members?
I've AVG protection and continually get viruses from that sight.
