Does anyone know of and can comment on any MoPar shows you’ve attended that historically brings in more 60’s and 70’s MoPars? Or shows that limit to only newer MoPars that have been modified or considered limited production factory muscle MoPars? I’m just looking for some different shows to check out, hopefully next year. I’m staying optimistic! Thanks

Wow, looking at your '63 reminds me of my friend. He has a Black '63 Polara 500 Coupe and a '63 Polara 500 Convertible w/4 speed and appears your same color. We hope to have the sixth annual car show in Waupun WI the last weekend in June. Now all is in "Covid-Limbo" so I will keep you advised. Another friend has a '63 Sport Fury Convertible w/4 speed.

A long trip for you but, the "Red Barns Show" at the Gilmore car museum near Hickory Corners, MI is a really good show. Great variety and Gilmore is the largest auto museum in North America and it's open to show goers.

I would really appreciate you keeping me posted....we are planning some road trips in our 63 Polara, next year, I know there’s lots of MoPars in Wi, Oh, Mi, Penn! I appreciate it!
Your friend is a man after my own heart, ....Seriously, I would love to see your friends Polaras...I tried to buy a black Polara 500 coupe in 2016, and a turquoise one on Craigslist last year, gotta be super quick these days! I hoped to find a black, blue, med turquoise, or something other than white, 63 Polara convertible, LITERALLY it’s just meant I have a white one, I couldn’t turn this one down, and at least it’s got a turquoise interior instead of red, (I love red, but I’ve owned six that color !), but I’m still looking for a Polara 500 coupe, and I hope to begin a “replica” ‘63 Dodge Max Wedge project, I been buying engine pieces but don’t even have a car yet! Crazy! Thank you for your reply, and let he know about the show, hopefully next year will be better!

Don Garlits tends to attract early 60's drag cars.

Of course the E bodies and 68-70 B body cars are almost always the most represented, but being a drag racer in that era, he gives extra props sometimes to those early B's, even going as far as to have some way up by his museum proper and kibitzing with the owners when they show up.

As the wheel turns, more and more car shows have modern muscle.:wtf::screwy::mad:
Not my cup of tea.The last Carlisle (2 years back) as we walked down the hill a massive amount of modern muscle Mopars were there. A guy walking past us stated "If I want to see new Mopars I'd just go to a dealership."
I'm just Old School. We drove in with a 64 Dodge wagon.

Might be mentioning Glenn? We got acquainted years back as my 63 vert and his looked near identical; but his had a BB and coveted 4 speed...if I recollect the one he had back when was an original 426 car with a 383 in it

Always a lot of B's at Carlisle.

In Connecticut there is Papa's Dodge/Mopars 'n Motion Car Club show. It was well attended this year. You can go Mopars 'n Motion website for a look pictures and dates, May/June. Papa's is largest .

I hear you....I suppose it’s inevitable, as the wheel turns, , (good one by the way), ..But I too, definitely lean toward the old school, and truthfully, it’s NOT that I mind the newer cars, it’s the sheer number of those who buy a new Mope, that have no respect for the us grey beards, and don’t get it...nor do they care about Chrysler Corps role in the horsepower wars, the linage of that MoPar logo on their 10x10 tent, or the roles Tom Hoover, Jack Smith, or Donald Wright played and their contributions to Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth! What we have now are egotistical 28 or 30 year old, with an ego cause he don’t know, to prideful to listen and learn, so I’m seeking out the better shows and planning some road trips around them......thanks man!

Very nice, I had traded my 1931 Ford Hot Rod roadster for an original paint 1963 Sport Fury, a medium blue car, it he changed his mind a few days before we were to meet. That was a couple yrs ago, I say this because it seems like I’ve ran across more 1963 Plymouth’s in other cool colors, but a lot a 1963 Dodges seems to be white or the beige color.....My 63 Polara is a 400 BB, it’s set up to run pump gas, and run 75/89 on the freeway if needed, but I do miss pulling off from red lights in the previous ‘63, a Polara 500 with a replica. Max Wedge build....fun but not practical, however, that is what I’m about to start on, a Max Wedge replica now that I have a good driver!

We have a couple of really fine Mopar shows in SE Wisconsin put on by the WI Mopar Muscle Club. One is in early June in Ocomomowoc and the other is on a Friday night in mid August in Brookfield (Milwaukee suburb).

Monster Mopar at Summit Raceway Park has plenty of Bs in action. Show cars to boot. It's a great time.
