I was asked by a local car club to attend a drive thru. Car show at a retirement home today and it was great. I took my grandson along and he thought that this was very thoughtful and cool. With the COVID-19 and all these guy don’t get many visitors. They loved it that someone was thinking of them. Great stories by all. We loved every minute of it.
What a great idea.
At our rescheduled car show yesterday, one of the winners was a guy in a wheelchair. He had a friend drive the car for him.
This topic though.....this is a very sweet and considerate idea that could bring some smiles and memories to some lonely old folks.
I took my grandson along and he thought that this was very thoughtful and cool. That right there says it all. Well done, thanks for sharing!! My mom was in a retirement home when I got Cora and she was always on me about taking her for a ride. One day we went, for hours, back to our old home and every site she wanted to see. I'd catch her looking at how fast we were going and slowly start dropping the hammer till she started yelling at me as she always did when I drove her anywhere. You did a big thing there, you a good man!!!! Just for the record, I love your car, the color is fantastic.
Very cool, most that respect stuff
has been thrown out the window since Nov. 2007
most seniors are treated like second class citizens
history has been changed, torn down, burned defaced
or thrown away & forgotten
many of them are from the greatest generation
we need to remember them, treat them well
