Would the torsion bars really be whats holding most of the engine weight? Because as far as i know shock absorbers do not hold weight i believe. (Im still learning some things)

Yes the springs hold up the weight.
Torsion bars
Coil springs
Leaf springs

are all springs.

Shocks dampen the bounce. Think of a rubber ball you throw on the ground. It continues to bounce lower and lower until it stops and rolls. A shock will stop
that bounce at 1 or 2 bounces. The torsion bar, leaf spring or coil spring are what holds the car up.

Shock Absorber. Two key words. Nothing about carrying the load. Load carrying is up to the Torsion Bars and Springs.
