Actual battery. This thing is very, very close to the old school dimensions. NAPA sell sit right off the shelf. Caps on new battery pop off, leaving six 3/4 holes to plug the red caps into. Battery deck and face are smooth so the stickers go right on.

......so......ever get that feeling that you forgot something important on your build? Hehe.....well, as it turn out.....I forgot the gasket sealer on the valley pan.....

Was going through my checklist......and thought, did I really not do that? Sum'bitch.....

A/C.....had to pop off the compressor and lines.....

lesson learned.....again.....

Last time I had to remove the compressor, I used the engine hoist to hold it over the fender (securely bolted through a chain in 2 places) and left the lines connected and charged).

Sucker is heavy.....I also noted the FelPro pan had the crossover blocked off......which is good.....I needed to check that again

Just about done with all the electrical stuff and got around to testing out the blower motor. Spins freely by hand but no go. Got the power supply on it at 12 volts….nadda. Pulled the unit and found a surprise…..

I'm assuming the motor is bad, but will take it apart to see if I can service it, polish and clean up the coils/windings ect.....

Ok, motor not bad. I just did not add enough current. Motor was great . Just cleaned it out and added some grease to the bearings

Wow, this really moved along quickly. Quite a steal on this car, seems fairly solid for coming from the rustbelt. I like the interior and exterior colors. Just really looks good together. Congrats, hope you get to hear it run soon.

Thanks sir. It’s not concourse , but I really tried super hard to get her as clean and driver as possible. Just getting ever bit working and as back in time as I can

So got the old and replacement apart….cleaned and lightly oiled with lithium grease….just a touch. These things turned out great Very strong after cleaning.

I may sell the 66/67 one …. Squirrel cage is perfect. Mount seal is good too

Cages are a bit different between years . 66 is way more detailed with nice access points for the hex key….but the 67 seems to flow better

Been working on the reverse lever pin issue and had to pull the column…again.

having done that, I noticed that the pin hole is different than the two I’ve seen so far, but lended a solution just as nicely.

Ok, trim rings and centers on. Took so much to get these 500’s back into shape….but I’m proud of them
